Harry Sullivan

Hey! Harry here. I am a frequent traveller on a mission to travel the world as far and wide as I can. It’s always fun to travel around because I get to have so many new experiences, see places, and meet interesting people on my journey! I research a place I want to visit, plan out my budget, and then off I go! Of course, my thirst for travel comes with a hefty financial burden sometimes, so as a freelance journalist I have the ideal situation as I can take my work with me. I also do try and pick up jobs as I’m travelling but staying in the same place for a long time is not my thing; I need to keep going, exploring, and having fun.

Coming from quite a small, village life type area, I felt I needed to escape that feeling of everyone knowing everyone’s business, and quite frankly I felt stuck. I started travelling when I was in college, and that started my obsession with wanting to travel the world. I used to tag along with my buddies at first, but as I gained more confidence, I decided to try more solo travel. Without sounding too cliche and cringe, travelling does open your eyes to the world around us and helps you grow as a person. There’s nothing I love more than becoming fully immersed in a new culture and meeting new people, and then sharing interesting travel stories with others. It gives me so much inspiration to chart out the next adventure. I like to plan out the whole journey before embarking on one. I don’t mark out every detail, but I need to know the important stuff to ensure I’m prepared and safe. I also understand that things don’t always go as plan, so I keep room for spontaneity as well. It’s all part of the experience!

I decided to bring my passion and career as a journalist together to blog about my experiences, as well as any tips I’ve picked up along the way. The first few times going travelling can be daunting, so it’s important you spend some time getting prepared. Take a look at what’s on offer on my blog and keep your eyes peeled for new, exciting content posted regularly.
