District 29 is the second district for Aurora, except the northern half of the district. Aurora started 1870 with the Delaneys, whose round barn and Gully Homestead are still located within Aurora at 200 S. Chambers Rd. as historical sites. In 1891, a town was incorporated as Fletcher, and later changed in 1907 to Aurora. Aurora expanded after the establishment of the Fitzsimons Army Hospital, Lowry Field, and what is now Buckley Air Force Base in the year preceding and through World War II.
