District 21 is mostly the city of Lakewood and small parts of unincorporated Jefferson County. It is a district is a even split of both parties. The district has a few large employers, the largest being the U.S. Government located at the Federal Center at 6th and Kipling. Belmar, a redeveloped area in the southern portion of the district, has been lauded for the revival of a urban area replacing a suburban mall.
