District 50 is the core of Greeley, CO. The Colorado Democratic Party had their convention here in 2006. Greeley was founded in 1870, and became a city in 1888. Greeley is known for the Greeley Stampede, one of the largest rodeos in the state. It is held over a weekend including Independence Day.
